The Importance of Having an IDC on Set
An Intimacy Professional, now more than ever is an integral part of all creative story telling. We not only create a safe and supportive environment, but we are the key to cultivating the vision of the Director by creating grounded, honest and ever present performances from the talent.
My role, before the creation of the IDC, was known as "The Closer" or Directora de Elenco (Director of the Cast), as I would be brought in weeks before opening night so that the Director could move on to focus on the bigger picture while I took their vision and lifted it to the next level through communication, agency and support for the cast.
Now that the industry has evolved and the IDC is seen as a collaborative partner in the creative process and not - the HR police as it used to be known, we can see the difference it makes in every performance on stage and screen.
So many actors and production teams rave about the difference in on set culture and how having support on set has open the door to even more engaging performances.
Let's get started on raising the bar for your production by letting me know all the nuances of your creative process, your vision and ever evolving story telling.
Whether it be scene/ character work, fight scenes, choreography and intimate moments I am here to work for you so you can see your vision come to life.
